Quality Control Assistant – Metal Fabrication – Mississauga
Quality control assistant in a Mississauga metal fabrication factory. $21 per hour, 6 AM–2:30 PM. At least two years of relevant experience and English required.
Pay: $21 per hour
Schedule: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Inspect materials, components and finished products against drawings and customer specifications
- Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections
- Use tape measures, calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools
- Conduct pressure and leak testing of metal components
- Identify and report defects or nonconforming products
- Verify product dimensions, quality, surface finish and welding
- Maintain inspection records and support quality and calibration programs
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in quality inspection, metal fabrication or manufacturing, including leak/pressure testing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Working knowledge of inspection practices and measuring equipment
- Attention to detail when inspecting finished products
- Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 environment is an asset
- Good communication skills in English
